The choice of cars in Temsamane itself can be limited, so many travelers pick up at Nador airport, in Driouch or in Al Hoceima. This guide explains what to compare, what to confirm in writing and how to prepare the drive.
Looking for car rental for Temsamane, whether for a family visit, a summer on the coast or a few days in the Rif? Temsamane is a coastal commune in Driouch province, between Nador and Al Hoceima. With a rental car you decide when to leave, which villages and beaches to visit, and how to carry your luggage and gifts for the family. This guide explains where to pick up the car, which category fits, what to confirm in writing with the rental company and how to prepare the drive.
RentalMe is a Moroccan marketplace that connects renters with professional rental agencies. RentalMe does not rent out cars itself and is not a private-owner rental platform: the vehicle, the contract and the service always come from the rental agency. RentalMe is currently in pre-launch, so booking through the platform is not yet possible. In the meantime, this guide helps you prepare your rental properly.
The choice in Temsamane itself can be limited, so many travelers compare pick-up points in the region:
Each pick-up point has its own opening hours and conditions. Ask in writing beforehand whether pick-up or delivery at your preferred location is possible and on what terms.
Temsamane lies on the coast between Nador to the east and Al Hoceima to the west. The most convenient route depends on where you collect the car and where you are staying. Roads in the Rif can be winding and hilly, so allow plenty of time and preferably drive in daylight if you do not know the area.
The right category depends on the number of passengers, luggage, the season and the roads you plan to drive:
Check in the offer whether the car is automatic or manual, whether it has air conditioning and which mileage policy applies. Have these points included in writing.
Required documents vary by rental agency. Ask in writing beforehand:
Make sure the name on the contract, the licence and the payment method match, and keep copies of your documents on your phone.
Payment methods and deposits vary by agency and by offer. Have the following confirmed in writing:
Do not assume you can sort out on the spot anything that was not confirmed in advance.
The real terms are in the written offer and the contract. Read them calmly before you accept the keys:
Ask for a copy of the full contract before you leave.
As an indication, rental prices usually range from 100 DH to 700 DH per day, depending on the vehicle category, the season, the rental agency and the actual offer. This is not a fixed quote, a minimum or a maximum: the real amount is in the written offer. Rental length, extras such as a child seat or additional driver, and returning elsewhere can also affect the price. Ask for a fully itemised quote before you agree.
You will find more regional guides on the RentalMe blog, including the guide to car rental in Midar, another town in Driouch province.
