RentalMe is a Moroccan marketplace that connects renters with professional rental agencies. Learn what to confirm with an agency before renting and how to join the customer waitlist.
Renting a car is still one of the most practical ways to travel around Morocco at your own pace: from the city to the coast, from the mountains to villages that public transport barely serves. That is exactly why anyone looking for a car rental platform in Morocco wants clarity above all: who supplies the vehicle, on what terms, and what to check before setting off.
In this article we explain what RentalMe is, how it will work as a marketplace that connects renters with professional rental agencies, what to confirm with the agency before any rental, and how to follow the platform's launch. Whether you are a tourist, a Moroccan living abroad coming home for the holidays, a local resident or a business traveler, you will find practical pointers to plan ahead.
RentalMe is a Moroccan vehicle rental marketplace, a product of UnzipTech. The idea is simple: connect people who want to rent a vehicle with professional rental agencies operating in Morocco.
RentalMe does not own the cars and is not a rental agency. The agency supplies the vehicle, sets the price and defines its own conditions. The platform's role is to help you search by city and dates, compare vehicles and conditions, and look at information about the agency before you choose.
If you have ever looked for a rental car in Morocco, you know the picture: offers scattered across websites, social pages and chat messages, quotes all written differently, and conditions that only arrive after several exchanges with the agency.
The most frequent questions always come back to the same points:
RentalMe is being built to present this information in a clearer, more comparable way, so you can choose with more confidence.
The renter journey is straightforward: choose the city or starting point, enter your dates, compare the vehicles offered by professional agencies and read their conditions before you decide.
Each offer is entered by the agency, which remains responsible for the vehicle, the price and the conditions. So even on a platform, the golden rule does not change: always read the agency's written offer and keep a copy of what you accepted.
Needs vary a lot depending on the trip. A compact car is handy in town, while long drives with luggage or several passengers may call for a roomier vehicle. The price depends on the vehicle category, the season, the agency and the actual offer: as a rough guide, around 100–700 dirhams (DH) per day, which is not a quote, nor a guaranteed minimum or maximum.
Conditions vary from one agency to another, and there are no universal rules you should take for granted. Here is what to ask, and get confirmed in writing.
Driver documents. Ask which documents the agency requires: driving licence, ID card or passport, and whether it asks for an international driving permit or a translation. Also ask which age requirements it applies and how additional drivers are recorded.
Deposit and payment. Ask for the deposit amount, the accepted payment method (credit card, debit card, cash), whether it is a pre-authorisation or a charge, and how and when it is released after return. Also check which part is paid in advance and which at collection.
Cover and excess. Ask which cover is included in the price, which is optional, the excess amount and the exclusions (for example glass, tyres, keys, underbody). If an acronym or clause is unclear, ask for an explanation before signing.
Mileage, use and fuel. Check whether mileage is unlimited or limited, whether there are restrictions on roads or areas of use, which fuel policy applies and how any missing fuel is charged.
Collection and return. Agree on the exact place and time of collection and return, any out-of-hours or one-way return fees, and how delays are handled.
Vehicle inspection. At collection, check the bodywork, interior, tyres and fuel level together with the agency. Take photos or a short video and have existing damage noted on the handover report.

RentalMe is getting ready for its public launch. If you are interested, you can join the customer waitlist: the page has a field for your email address and a "Notify me" button. Your address is added to the RentalMe waitlist so the team can contact you about the launch.
Joining is not a booking, involves no payment and is not a membership: it does not guarantee early access or the availability of a vehicle.
Meanwhile, the RentalMe blog has more practical guides on renting in Morocco.
RentalMe is designed to work with professional rental agencies in Morocco. Interested agencies can apply to the founding agencies program through a dedicated form, separate from the customer waitlist. The form asks for the agency name, city, manager's name, phone, email, fleet size, vehicle types, an optional message and consent to be contacted. After you submit it, the RentalMe team gets back to the agency about the next steps of the program; submitting the form is not automatic acceptance.

No. Joining only records your email address so the RentalMe team can contact you about the launch. It involves no payment, booking or commitment.
It depends on the vehicle category, the season, the agency and the actual offer. As a rough guide, around 100–700 dirhams per day: this is not a quote, nor a guaranteed minimum or maximum. The price that counts is the one written in the agency's offer.
The waitlist is meant for renters. Professional agencies have a dedicated form on the founding agencies program page.
A good rental experience in Morocco starts with preparation: the written offer, deposit, cover, mileage, collection and return all clarified before you leave. RentalMe aims to make that comparison simpler by connecting renters with professional agencies.
